Scheduled Exhibition
During 2010 I will be working on paintings and drawings for an exhibition scheduled for January 2011 at Fort Worth Community Art Center. The exhibition of equine art, titled "Bound and Determined" will be up during the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Dates and times for the opening will be forthcoming.
Drawing published in literary journal
'SAYING GOOD-BYE' has been chosen to be included in the 2009 publication of ARIES. Aries is an international literary magazine, published annually at Texas Wesleyan University. Original, unpublished poetry (including poetry written in Spanish and translated), short fiction, one-act plays, black and white photography, and art are showcased in the journal.
Established in 1986, Aries celebrates 20 years of artistic expression and creativity. The journal receives over five hundred submissions each year to consider for publication. Aries is produced each spring by a panel of five associate editors and Dr. Stacia Neeley, General Editor, Internship Coordinator, and Associate Professor of English.
Painting Exhibited
The painting GOLDFINGERS DIXIE(FENCE)has been selected to be exhibited in an Austin gallery. Austin Art Space announced the selection of paintings to be featured in its first annual juried exhibit focused on everything Texas, entitled 'What Texas Means To Me' running July 10 - August 22, 2009. Valerie Walden, co-founder and director of Austin Art Space commented "We are exceedingly pleased with the quality of the work submitted. This show is not bound by conventional definition of Texas, though some are traditional to be sure. Rather, it reflects an array of visualiations that address tangible and intangible aspects of Texas."
